The Committee on Tribal Unity condemns the burning of Thangbuh village this evening in its strongest terms. Thangbuh Village is located near Sadu Chiru village, Saitu sub division of Sadar Hills Kangpokpi, Kuki-Zo dominated hill areas.
The combined collusion of Meitei militants, Arambai Tenggol and state forces have caused irreparable damage of life and property in Kuki-Zo settlement.
Repeated assaults and targets made against the helpless minority Kuki-Zo is precisely the main reason why our demand for separation from Manipur is a must.
The unaccountability of the state administration in times of conflict proves its irrelevance but justifies on why should the central administration must push come to shove for Kuki-Zo's emancipation.
