NAYPYIDAW,
March 28 – The Myanmar military junta has carried out 11 air and artillery
strikes across the country in the aftermath of a powerful earthquake on March
28. In response to the disaster, authorities have declared a State of Emergency
in Sagaing Region, the quake’s epicenter, as well as in Mandalay, Magway, Bago,
Naypyidaw, and Shan State.
The
developments were reported by DVB English, Myanmar, as the situation
continues to unfold.
