The Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee (ZSWC), under the initiative of the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), held the 10th round of political talks with the Government of India on 29 May 2026 in New Delhi.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity of the ZUF, the meeting began with an expression of appreciation and a welcome to Shri Ajit Lal, the newly appointed representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The statement said that both sides mutually agreed to continue the momentum achieved through the dialogue process so far. It further noted that a comprehensive draft for the settlement of the Zeliangrong political issue was considered for formulation, with the aim of establishing a definite roadmap towards a conclusive resolution.
The ZUF described the discussions as a positive step in advancing the ongoing peace process and addressing the long-standing aspirations of the Zeliangrong people.
