ANGELS & DEMONS

“There's an Angel and a Demon, Light & Darkness, Good and Evil in every one of us”.

Guess what unfailingly perturbs me and consistently annoys me the most about this inconsequential happenings in & around us, besides the facts rolling out before our eyes. Every now and then we like to think that this is a random world with no consequences, no hand of faith or no hand of God presiding our day to day life. If the roof above my head suddenly falls on my head and kill me, “It will be just a matter of time and circumstances and an Unfortunate Coincidence”.


However, after careful deliberation, watching me and you and you and me, I think it's not so. And that there's indeed A God Almighty and indeed there are factors, dogmas, norms and circumstances that governs the way an individual think and perform in society. If there ain't a God, We would have to create one. We are destined to this Life that we live. We have only ourselves to blame. May be some Karma is playing a cruel joke on us all.

There's a saying “People Don't change”. However, Do you ever care to ponder aloud to yourself, what Louis-I-Kahn once said, “How accidental our existences are, really, and how full of influence by circumstances “. None of us can really say that, we're undeterred or unfettered by circumstances and that we have no prejudices whatsoever. In the same way the Form of any design follows the Function that it's intended to be we're callously and eternally sweep off our feet by circumstances larger than life itself. Never mind the romance when you are swept off your feet, it ain't supposed to be romantic!!! You are just another brick in the wall to me and me vice versa to you. Only the mortars and ground beneath our feet hold us.

The Culmination of our Societies is not the fulfillment of a need but the Creation of a need and desires on the part of some. Come to think of it, “The world never needed the sweet solo guitar sounds of the Scorpions, Joe Satriani or the forlorn Romantic Love Ballads of Enrique Iglisius until they were created”. Now we are addicted to its sound, tone, rhythm, taste, frequency and melodies. In fact, we could not live without it anymore. It's a form of Addiction and a Beautiful one at that. Organizations should be reaching out for the truth and the people, not the other way around. A great organization or a community must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being deliberated or formed and in the end must be an unmeasurable accomplishment.

Hillary Clinton in her recent visit to St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, said, “I believe that Talent is Universally Distributed, its Opportunity that is Limited”. It becomes a Moral, Ethical, social, political, economical and religious duty on the part of us individuals, families, organizations, communities, institutions and the government to narrow the Gap. Education becomes the Great Equalizer. With Teach India Ambassador (Amir Khan) tagging along on her side in her tour and the army of Magna Cum Laude IIM, IIT's and other distinguished College graduates sacrificing 7 to 20 lacs per annum remuneration packages to Teach underprivileged Slum dogs of India, We seem to be moving definitely forward as far as Indian education is concern. Education is a subject close to everyone's heart and we all know it's the bridge between poverty, bondage and wealth/ freedom.

I don't write to in stir nor evoke misunderstanding. Rather, I would like to convince myself that I write to bury the hatchet. I would like to think one day that I did my bit as a responsible ZO-Zen (ZO Citizen). I cherished, appreciate and respect the freedom and rights of the media, its power and privileges. I do believe in the spirit, ideology and principles of democracy and above all The Right to live in a Free world. I sometimes feel, the majority of us, we do not fully understand nor appreciate the sweet tone and harmony of Freedom, justice and dignity. It's only because we have not seen the other side of it. Our duty as human beings is not limited to being a Samaritan only in the unlikely or unfortunate realms of the Death or celebrations. We have the honor, the privilege and the duty to be Good Human Beings.

“We understand Darkness only because we have seen Day Light”. And, that, Shadow belongs to Light with Darkness as its Complimentary and accomplish in its nocturnal misadventures. Light Created Darkness with a Purpose.

When we were young we used to think, LIVE AND LET LIVE!!! But when we grew up and saw the world we mused to our self “LIVE & LET DIE”!!! In doing so, we Compromise our integrity and conscience. Any human who is emotionally, morally, technically, legally compromised has compromised his position in particular and the Society in general and as such his/ her actions and judgements are compromised by his own Compromised judgement. The Mahatma once said, “In order to lead one must be able to control and conquered Himself first”. How hard it is to Conquer Oneself and refrain our inner Basic Instincts!!! Unfortunately, we've not fully understood nor appreciate that ONE WRONG WILL NEVER RIGHT ANOTHER WRONG!!!.

With Adoration for Freedom, Dignity, Respect, God & above all Love for every human being that cares to exist on earth. Me??!!! & Just Being another Brick in the Wall!!!!
