Meghalaya Assembly Speaker, members call on President Mukherjee
New Delhi, May 1 (ANI)--- The Speaker and several Members of theMeghalaya Legislative Assembly called on President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mukherjee congratulated the newly elected 28 young members of the assembly.
He stated that as legislators they have manifold responsibilities and they are the face of the people living in their constituencies.
He advised them that it was important that they should attend assembly sessions regularly and also maintain discipline and adhere to the code of conduct of the assembly.
He stated that it was crucial that the assembly is allowed to discharge it's business without any disruptions.
He wished the legislators all success in their legislative careers.
