Bangalore Christian Fellowship holds Tuesday Worship for Working Youths

TO MAKE it easier for those working in the private sector, the Bangalore Christian Fellowship (BCF) Church holds its worship service every Tuesday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

The church was established in 2011 and is built on two Bible verses: “Thus far the Lord has helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12b) and “For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end” (Psalm 48:14).

This year’s theme is: “Called to Follow in Jesus’ Steps” (based on 1 Peter 2:21).

Most of the church members are young people from the Kuki community of Manipur. The fellowship is lovingly led by Pastor Emmanuel, who is known for his humble and dedicated service.

“We hold the service on Tuesdays because many of these young people work in private companies and are off on that day. They can’t always attend church on Sundays,” Pastor Emmanuel explained.

We three students — two doctoral students and one BD student from United Theological College, Bengaluru — attended the service today (10 January 2023) and were blessed by the warm fellowship and spirit-filled worship.

During the worship service, we were also warmly welcomed by the pastor and given ample time to introduce ourselves to the congregation.

Rev. MG Nehlian shared the Word of God, offering a message of encouragement and spiritual reflection in line with the church’s theme.

It was surprising to meet my own closest childhood friend from our native place, who was actively participating in the service by operating the presentation slides and assisting the church in other capacities. Memories of our long bygone days and cheerful moments together came flooding back.
After the service, we had a lovely time chatting and sipping cold drinks with Pastor Emmanuel, his wife, and several church members — a time of warm conversations and meaningful connections.

Finally, we headed back to our college campus, leaving with a memory of the day that we’ll cherish for a long time.

The church continues to be a place of worship, encouragement, and connection for these working youths in the heart of Bangalore.

Here are some moments we captured....
