• • Zo United was formed on September 20th, 2023 at Aizawl by willing Zo kindred tribes coming from various parts of Manipur for the purpose of mutual benefit and understanding.
• On September 13th, 2024 decision was taken at Aizawl to continue ZU for the Zo people
• Mizo People's Convention (MPC) has abdicated (without replacement) the post of Convenor since January 7th, 2025 as per its decision to disassociated itself from ZU since January 8th, 2025
• Kuki Innpi Manipur (KIM) has abandoned Co Convenor post by forming a separate parallel body by christening different name in November, 2024
• Hmar Innpui also by preference took up the post of General Secretary in the aforementioned parallel body.
• Zomi Council as Co Convenor become the single functionary of ZU under the prevailing circumstances.
Therefore, in the interest of unkeep, sustenance and further rejuvenation of the ZU, all available records & properties of the ZU was handed over to the Co Convenor by Convenor of ZU on May 13, 2025.
