Renewed Rally Against Arbitrary Arrests: Our Voices Will Not Be Silenced

The Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights (KWOHR) hereby announces a Public Mass Rally to be held on 18th June 2025 in Lamka (Churachandpur), Manipur, in continued protest against the arbitrary arrests of Kuki-Zo individuals by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

This decision follows a collective meeting held on 11th June 2025, convened by Kuki Inpi Churachandpur, in collaboration with all major Kuki Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), in response to the persistent and targeted crackdown on Kuki civilians.

On 31st May 2025, KWOHR, along with women's organisations across several districts, organised a mass sit-in protest and submitted a memorandum to the Hon'ble Union Home Minister, demanding an end to this discriminatory and unjust campaign of arrests. However, in a shocking display of disregard, two more Kuki-Zo men were arrested the very next day — without due process and under questionable circumstances. To date, there has been no official response to our demands.

WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED

This upcoming rally is a reaffirmation of our stand:
We will continue to protest, continue to march, and continue to speak out — until our voices are heard and our rightful demands are met.

Justice for Kuki-Zo people is not negotiable
