On July 30, 2025, security forces carried out a successful recovery operation at Dampi ridge, located near the general area of Songphel under Churachandpur Police Station in Churachandpur district.
During the operation, the following arms and ammunition were seized:
1. 14 single-barrel rifles
2. 1 pistol with magazine
3. 1 Pompi
4. 9 improvised explosive devices (IEDs)
5. 8 rounds of Pompi ammunition
6. 23 cartridges of 12 bore
7. 10 rounds of .303 live ammunition
8. 1 round of 9 mm live ammunition
9. 3 rounds of .303 blank ammunition
10. 3 helmets
11. 2 Boafeng radio sets
This recovery marks a significant development in ongoing security efforts in the region.
