Manipur Police Seize 86 Illegal Weapons in Major Raid

In a major breakthrough aimed at restoring peace and security, Manipur Police, along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and the Army/Assam Rifles, conducted a coordinated operation across several valley districts in the early hours of 15 July 2025.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, joint teams carried out simultaneous raids at multiple suspected locations in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur districts. The result was a significant seizure of arms, ammunition, and warlike materials.

Officials termed the operation a major success in their ongoing efforts to dismantle illegal arms networks and ensure public safety.

The Manipur Police urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to nearby police stations or the Central Control Room. Senior police officials assured that such intelligence-based operations would continue to ensure lasting peace and order in the region.
