Myanmar Refugees Protest at UNHCR Delhi

The protest enters its 10th consecutive day as citizens of Myanmar, currently taking refuge in India, continue their peaceful demonstration outside the UNHCR office in Delhi.

They are urgently:

  • Seeking Refugee Status Determination (RSD)

  • Seeking Resettlement Opportunities

  • Seeking Protection

  • Seeking Basic Human Rights

  • Seeking Rights for Children

India is not a signatory to the 1951 Refugee Convention or its 1967 Protocol. As a result, thousands of Myanmar refugees living in India's capital face daily hardships -- in legal uncertainty, without access to proper documentation, employment, healthcare, or education.

Their voices echo a desperate plea for dignity, safety, and international attention.

Their voices are a call for international solidarity, protection, and dignity in exile.
