In a series of operations conducted on 27 October 2025, the Security Forces and Manipur Police made significant recoveries of contraband items in different parts of the state.
During a search operation in the forest area of Loisi, under Tengnoupal Police Station, Tengnoupal District, security personnel recovered 29 cartons containing 14,440 packets of WIN cigarettes, with an estimated market value of ₹8,66,400 (Eight Lakh Sixty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Rupees).
On the same day, in a separate operation, the Manipur Police arrested two suspected drug traffickers from Basikhong Bridge Road, Kiyamgei Takhok, under Irilbung Police Station, Imphal East District. The accused have been identified as Md. Ashif Ali (18) of Kiyamgei Muslim Awang Leikai and Md. Washim Khan (22) of Kiyamgei Muslim Takhok Makha, both residents of Imphal East District.
From their possession, officers seized Heroin Powder No. 4 weighing approximately 36 grams. The arrested individuals and the seized items have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further investigation.
