The Chin Brotherhood Alliance, which includes the PDF-Zoland, has recaptured a key military base in Tedim Township, Chin State, from the Myanmar junta. The base was first seized in November 2023, later retaken by junta forces, and finally reclaimed by the alliance on 18 November 2025.
The renewed fighting comes as the junta tries to secure control ahead of its planned elections on 28 December 2025. Resistance groups say they killed about 100 junta soldiers, including a major and a captain, and also seized weapons and detained several troops.
At present, the junta holds only Hakha and Tedim townships in Chin State, while resistance forces control areas such as Tunzan, Falam, and Mindat.
