The Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) expresses its deepest sorrow and condolences over the tragic and inhumane killing of four members of the United Kuki National Army (UKNA) by security forces in Khanpi, Henglep. As a mark of our collective respect and mourning for the departed souls, ITLF hereby announces a shutdown of Lamka town.

All shops, educational institutions, and offices within Lamka town shall remain closed from 12:00 PM onwards tomorrow, Thursday, 06th November 2025, until the burial ceremony is completed at the KKL Cemetery. This shutdown is observed as a mark of solidarity, remembrance, and deep respect for our brothers whose lives were tragically and unjustly taken.

Please note that vehicular movement will not be restricted during the shutdown.

ITLF earnestly requests the cooperation of the public, organizations, and all concerned to observe this period of mourning in unity and dignity.
