Historic Renaming: CBA Becomes Zomi Baptist Churches of India

Lamka, 12 Dec 2025: In a historic landmark decision, the 66th General Council of the Chin Baptist Association (CBA), held at the CBA Diamond Jubilee Hall in New Lamka on 11 December 2025, approved the renaming of the Chin Baptist Association to the Zomi Baptist Churches of India (ZBCI).

Chin Baptist Association (CBA) was established in 1961 with its headquarters at New Lamka (G). It became affiliated with the Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) in 1971. CBA celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1986.

Mr. Lian Zo Go served as the first Field Director from 1961 to 1965.

The motto of the association is: “Live for Christ.”
