Manipur Unrest: Peaceful Dharna on Buffer Zone Breaches in T. Munjang

A peaceful dharna protesting the alleged breaching of buffer zones and the planting of explosives was organised by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum (ITLF) on Monday, 22 December 2025, at T. Munjang in Lamka, southern Manipur. The protest follows recent incidents in which some Meiteis reportedly entered Torbung in violation of the designated buffer zones, an act described by organisers as provocative and a threat to peace in the region.
