PRESS STATEMENT
The Naga Army (NSCN-K led by Ang Mai) takes full responsibility for the killing of Maj.Manwang Leipha of the Yung Aung (YA) group, which occurred on 23 January at approximately 7:30 p.m. (Indian Standard Time) in Longphaoh Village, Tizit Area, Mon District, Nagaland State.
Despite repeated initiatives by the NSCN-K to promote peace and unity, including the unconditional release of several YA group cadres along with their seized weapons, inspite of that the YA group responded with hostility. A direct attack was carried out by the YA group against the Naga Army at Khammataing Village, resulting in the loss of two of our cadres, Lieut. Avi of the Pochury Region and Sgt.Peyao Konyak of the Konyak Region.
Maj.Manwang Leipha was an active cadre of the YA group and had been continuously involved in hostile activities in the area. He was warned on multiple occasions by the Naga Army to cease his anti–NSCN-K activities. His village authorities were also informed and urged to restrain his actions; however, they failed to take responsibility on his behalf,reasons best known to them.
In view of his continued anti–NSCN-K activities and in retaliation for the killing of our cadres at Khammataing Village, the Naga Army's special unit carried out capital punishment against Maj. Manwan Leipha.

နာဂစစ်တပ် (အန် မိုင် ဦးဆောင်သော NSCN-K) သည် ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ် ဇန်နဝါရီလ ၂၃ ရက်နေ့ ည ၇ နာရီခွဲခန့် (အိန္ဒိယစံတော်ချိန်) တွင် နာဂလန်ပြည်နယ်၊ မုန်ခရိုင်၊ တီဇစ်ဒေသရှိ လောင်ဖာအို ရွာတွင် ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သော ယုန်အောင် (YA) အဖွဲ့ဝင် မေဂျာ မန်ဝမ်း လိုက်ဖာ (Maj. Manwang Leipha) ကို သတ်ဖြတ်မှုအတွက် အပြည့်အဝ တာဝန်ယူကြောင်း ကြေညာအပ်ပါသည်။
NSCN-K အနေဖြင့် ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေး၊ ညီညွတ်ရေးကို မြှင့်တင်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်၍ ယုန်အောင်အဖွဲ့ဝင် အများအပြားအား ဖမ်းဆီးထားသည့် လက်နက်များနှင့်အတူ အခြေအနေမထားဘဲ ပြန်လည်လွှတ်ပေးခြင်း အပါအဝင် အကြိမ်ကြိမ် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သော်လည်း ယုန်အောင်အဖွဲ့ဘက်မှ ရန်လိုသော အပြုအမူများဖြင့်သာ တုံ့ပြန်လာခဲ့ပါသည်။ ထို့အပြင် ခမ္မတိုင် ရွာတွင် နာဂစစ်တပ်အား ယုန်အောင်အဖွဲ့မှ တိုက်ခိုက်မှု တိုက်ရိုက် ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ရာ ယင်းတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် ပိုချူရီဒေသမှ ဒုဗိုလ် အာဗီ (Lieut. Avi) နှင့် ကိုနယက်ဒေသမှ ဆာဂျင့် ပေယော ကိုနယက် (Sgt. Peyao Konyak) တို့ အပါအဝင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ တပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင် နှစ်ဦး အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ရပါသည်။
မေဂျာ မန်ဝမ်း လိုက်ဖာသည် ယုန်အောင်အဖွဲ့၏ တက်ကြွလှုပ်ရှားနေသော အဖွဲ့ဝင်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး ဒေသအတွင်း ရန်လိုသည့် လုပ်ရပ်များကို ဆက်တိုက် ဆောင်ရွက်နေသူဖြစ်ပါသည်။ သူ့အား NSCN-K ဆန့်ကျင်သည့် လှုပ်ရှားမှုများကို ရပ်တန့်ရန် နာဂစစ်တပ်မှ အကြိမ်ကြိမ် သတိပေးခဲ့ပြီး ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ထို့အပြင် သူ၏ ရွာအာဏာပိုင်များအားလည်း အကြောင်းကြားကာ သူ၏ လုပ်ရပ်များကို ထိန်းသိမ်းပေးရန် တောင်းဆိုခဲ့သော်လည်း အဆိုပါ အာဏာပိုင်များအနေဖြင့် မိမိတို့သိသည့် အကြောင်းရင်းများကြောင့် ယင်းအတွက် တာဝန်ယူ ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်း မရှိခဲ့ပါ။
