The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has empanelled 13 IPS officers for appointments to the rank of Inspector General (IG) or equivalent.
Among them is H. Thanghaulien Gangte, a 2003-batch officer from Manipur, who is notable for being the youngest IPS officer from his state.
The list includes officers from various cadres, such as Manoj Kaushik (Jharkhand), Dumbere Milind Mahadeo (AGMUT), S Premalatha (Bihar), and others from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Assam-Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Chhattisgarh.
