LAMKA, August 16, 2026: The Churachandpur Doctors’ Association (CDA) has strongly condemned the recent incident of alleged security excesses, including the firing of a live round inside a clinic and vandalism of hospital property at PC Nursing Home on the night of August 15.
In a statement issued on August 16, the association said the incident showed “utter disregard” for patients and the sanctity of the healthcare environment.
The association said security forces are expected to protect the community, whether people are at home or in hospital, while hospitals and clinics are meant to provide solace and care to ailing people rather than become places of fear and panic.
Describing the incident as “barbaric” and “condemnable”, the Doctors’ Association urged everyone, particularly security forces, to exercise restraint while carrying out their professional public duties.
The association also appealed to the district administration to investigate the matter and take appropriate measures to ensure that such preventable incidents do not occur in the future.
The statement was issued by the Churachandpur Doctors’ Association, whose office-bearers include President Dr N.
