Imphal, August 29, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh hosted the outgoing Chief Secretary of Manipur, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel at his official residence this evening. The Chief Secretary was accompanied by his wife on the occasion.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Dr. Goel for his dedication and selfless service towards the welfare of the people of Manipur. He highlighted Dr. Goel’s significant contributions during his tenure as Chief Secretary, particularly noting his sincere efforts towards the resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the restoration of peace in the State.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Dr. Goel for his future endeavours, long life and good health.

Mentioned may be made that Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel had been serving as Chief Secretary of Manipur since 21st July, 2025 and is set to retire on 31st August, 2026. His tenure was marked by a commitment to administrative efficiency and public service.
