Imphal, August 17, 2026: The Governor of Manipur has summoned the 8th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly to begin on September 2, 2026.
According to an order issued by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on August 14 and published by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat on August 17, the Assembly will meet at 11 am on Wednesday, September 2, at the Assembly Hall in Imphal.
The Governor issued the order under Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, exercising his constitutional powers to summon the Assembly.
The notification was issued by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat and signed by Secretary Rohit Sapam.
