St Joseph’s High School Singngat Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Singngat, September 5, 2026: St. Joseph’s High School, Singngat, celebrated Teachers’ Day on Friday (Sept 4) with a dignified and vibrant programme organised to honour the dedication and invaluable contributions of its teachers. The celebration was held in the presence of the Principal, Deacon, Headmistress, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students of the school.

The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. and was hosted by Neopa (of Class X) and Rebecca (of Class X). It began with a Prayer Dance presented by SH Convent, setting a reverent and inspiring tone for the occasion.

A key highlight of the celebration was the keynote address delivered by the Principal, who spoke briefly on the significance of Teachers’ Day and the important role teachers play in shaping the lives of students. He encouraged the students to uphold discipline and good character, reminding them that when character is lost, discipline is also lost. He further urged them to work harder, improve themselves, and strive for excellence in academics, sports and every other field.

The programme continued with a variety of cultural performances, musical presentations, speeches and other activities presented by the students as expressions of gratitude and appreciation towards their teachers. The performances added colour and enthusiasm to the celebration and reflected the students’ respect, affection and appreciation for their educators.

The celebration concluded with exhibition volleyball matches between the staff and students, featuring both men’s and women’s teams. The matches provided an entertaining and spirited conclusion to the day, while also strengthening the sense of camaraderie between teachers and students.

The day finally came to a close with a festal meal, bringing the school staff together in a spirit of fellowship, gratitude and celebration. Overall, the Teachers’ Day celebration was a memorable occasion that honoured the dedication of teachers while fostering unity, fellowship and togetherness among the entire school community.
