LAMKA — The United Kuki National Organisation (UKNA) has issued a press statement strongly condemning the reported deployment of drone bombs by Central Forces on June 16, 2026, terming the military action unethical, amoral, and unconstitutional.
In its official release, the outfit alleged that the June 16 incident was not an isolated event, referencing a similar drone bombing reported on November 4, 2025. The group expressed concern over the repeated resort to such force, questioning the proportionality, accountability, and genuine intent of the authorities.
The UKNA also categorically refuted operational claims circulated by security forces regarding the death of one of its members during the crackdown, describing the reports as unsubstantiated.
Reaffirming its position, the organisation stated that despite being armed, its core objective remains reaching a peaceful political resolution. The group emphasized that it has never declared war against Central Forces and reiterated its commitment to pursuing democratic dialogue within the framework of the Constitution of India.
