Kamjong Celebrates 80th Independence Day

Kamjong, August 15, 2026 (DIPR): The District Administration, Kamjong today joined the nation in celebrating the 80 th Independence Day of our Country with Deputy Commissioner Shri L.N. Kashung, chief guest of the celebration, hoisting the tri-colour flag. The celebration was held at the Kamjong Higher Secondary School ground with patriotic fervour. The celebration started with the Deputy Commissioner inspecting the guard of honour followed by rendition of National Song and the National Anthem. KANGPOKPI, August 15, 2026: The 80th Independence Day, 2026, organized by the District Administration of Kangpokpi, was celebrated at the DC Mini Secretariat Complex. The Chief Guest of the function, Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi, Shri Hemant Kumar, IAS, took the General Salute followed by the playing of Vande Mataram.
