A large number of Zomis living in the capital came together for the festival with joy and happiness.
The event was organised by Zomi Innkuan Delhi. Zomi pastor TK Lianpu explained that Khuado Pawi is a Zomi festival celebrated after the harvest. It is a ritual and feast meant to cleanse the village and its surroundings.
In simple words, it is about driving away darkness and illness from the village and its people.
The festival is a time for gathering, sharing, and friendship after months of hard work in different places of employment.
The celebration featured cultural dances, singing, speeches and blessings. Young and old Zomis wore colourful and beautiful traditional clothing, adding charm to the event.
