ISKCON Temple | Bengaluru (Photos)

The ISKCON Temple in Bangalore, also known as Radha Krishna-Chandra Temple, is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world. It is situated in Hare Krishna Hill, Chord Road, Rajajinagar. The temple is dedicated to Hindu deity Radh Krishna.

ISKCON Temple Bangalore was inaugurated by the 9th President of India, Shri Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on 31st May 1997.

It serves as a major spiritual, cultural, and social center. The temple promotes Bhagavad Gita teachings, devotional music, and spiritual education for people of all ages.

ISKCON Bangalore runs several humanitarian projects, including Akshaya Patra, the world’s largest midday meal program, which provides nutritious meals to millions of school children across India. The temple also conducts youth programs, cultural festivals, and free food distribution (prasadam) daily.

Through its outreach activities, ISKCON Bangalore continues to spread love, service, and devotion to Lord Krishna, inspiring peace and spiritual growth in society.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was founded by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966 in New York City, USA.

He established ISKCON to spread the teachings of Lord Krishna as presented in the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, promoting spiritual growth through bhakti-yoga (devotional service), chanting of the Hare Krishna Mantra, and living a life of simplicity and devotion.
