Hmar Village Volunteers Reject Forced Peace.

In response to the Federation of Civil Society (FOCS) advisory on free movement, issued on March 8, 2025, for all Kuki-Zomi-Hmar Mizo ancestral lands, the Jiribam & Pherzawl Hmar Village Volunteers (HVVs) hereby issue a warning to all Meiteis: refrain from crossing the line drawn and sealed by the blood of our martyrs.

The memories of bloodshed, rape, torture, and arson, which destroyed our sacred places, Institution and homes, remain fresh. We have been geographically, socially, physically, and mentally separated. The only remaining separation is administrative, from the Meitei. We reiterate that a lasting peaceful solution requires an expedited political solution.

Trespassing on our land will be considered an act of aggression. If necessary, the Hmar Village Volunteers will defend our land to the bitter end. 

We stand firm: No Free Movement until Separate Administration.
