PRESS CLARIFICATION

It has come to the notice of the Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) that on 24th July 2025, some unknown miscreants circulated a fake press release using the official letterhead of the KZC. The content of this fabricated release contained false and misleading information which has the potential to incite hatred and create misunderstanding between communities.
The Kuki-Zo Council categorically clarifies that the said press release was not issued by the KZC, and it does not reflect the position or intention of the Council in any manner.
KZC views this act as highly unfortunate, malicious, and condemnable, and calls upon the authorities to identify and take appropriate action against those responsible for this deliberate attempt to disrupt communal harmony.
The public and media are strongly advised to verify the authenticity of any KZC-related statements or documents through the official KZC WhatsApp channel before circulation or publication.
We urge everyone to remain vigilant and refrain from spreading unverified information.
