Press Release
Date: 14th October 2025
The Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights (KWOHR) expresses deep shock and outrage over the brutal killing of Ms. Vincy Nengneithem Khongsai by her live-in partner Mr. Thangjam Viney Meitei in Munirka, South Delhi, on the night of 12th October 2025. The victim was mercilessly murdered by the slitting of her throat, an act that is both inhumane and condemnable.
We strongly condemn this heinous crime and urge the Government and the Delhi Police to take immediate and strict action against the perpetrator and ensure that justice is delivered swiftly under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
We also extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and stand in solidarity with them during this painful time.
Violence against women is a grave human rights violation that must never be tolerated. We call upon all civil society organisations, women's groups, and human rights defenders to unite and raise their voices to end gender-based violence and ensure justice for all victims.
Justice for Vincy Nengneithem Khongsai!
Stop violence against women.
