The first-ever Comic Con North East was held in Guwahati from 22–23 November 2025. At this event, Lalchhuanawma Siakeng (Puia), a young man from Model Veng, Aizawl, secured the first position.

In this competition, Puia appeared as Dr Doom from Marvel Comics. Because he won first place at the First Comic Con North East, he will now represent the North East region in the national-level cosplay competition to be held across India.
