People Warn Kuki MLAs: Don’t Join the “Popular Government”

The People Warn Kuki-MLAs: Do Not Join the So-Called "Popular Government" – It Will Destroy Our Movement

The People's Movement for Separate Administration, representing lakhs of displaced Kuki-mothers, fathers, children, elders, and youth living in relief camps and rented rooms for the last 30 months, today issues this final public warning to all ten Kuki-MLAs:  

Haokholet Kipgen (Saitu), Ngursanglur Sanate (Singhat), Kimneo Haokip Hangshing (Saikul), Letpao Haokip (Henglep), LM Khaute (Tengnoupal), Letzamang Haokip (Churachandpur), Chinlunthang (Tipaimukh), Paolienlal Haokip (Saikut), Nemcha Kipgen (Kangpokpi) and Vungjagin Valte (Thanlon)

Do not take oath in, do not attend, and do not give even one vote of support to the proposed "popular government" being formed in Imphal.  

This is not a request. This is the clear, united voice of the people whose homes were burnt, whose families were killed, and whose future was stolen by the very government you are now being asked to join.  

The people remind every Kuki-MLA:  

- More than 60,000 of our people are still homeless because the same government refused to stop the burning of our villages.  

- Over 200 Kuki-villages have been wiped out and are now occupied by others under state protection.  

- The police and militant groups that attacked us are still free and still armed.  

- The demand for Separate Administration is the people's demand – born out of blood and tears – not a bargaining chip for ministerial cars and contracts.  

If any Kuki MLA joins this government:  

- You will be seen by the people as directly betraying the dead and the displaced.  

- You will lose forever the trust and respect of the community that elected you.  

- The people will boycott you socially, politically, and in every village and church.  

- History will remember you not as leaders, but as those who sold the people's pain for a chair in Imphal.  

This movement is a People's Movement – not an MLA movement.  

We did not sacrifice our homes and lives so that a few individuals can enjoy power while our children grow up in camps.  

The people have decided:  

*No return to Imphal Assembly. No compromise with those who carried out ethnic cleansing. No normalcy without Separate Administration.*

Any MLA who disobeys the people's clear mandate will face the full consequences of public anger. The people will decide – not Delhi, not Imphal, not any political party.  

We once again call upon all Kuki MLAs:  

Stand with the suffering people. Reject every offer. Publicly declare that you will not join any government until Separate Administration is granted.  

The people are watching. The people will never forgive betrayal.  

Jai Separate Administration! Jai Kuki People!
