Assam Rifle nabs UKNA/UPLF Cadre, Recovers Arms in Tollen Operation

On 1 December 2025, troops of the 36 Assam Rifles apprehended one cadre of the UKNA/UPLF (Non-SoO group) and WLS in the general area of Tollen.

The arrested individual was identified as Mr. Gouthenmon Singson (20), a resident of Phailen, Churachandpur district, Manipur.

From his possession, security forces recovered one .22 rifle with magazine and one 9mm pistol with magazine.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 149(12)2025 CCP-PS under Sections 310(6)/3(5) of the BNS and Section 25(1-C) of the Arms Act. Investigation is underway, the police said.
