Khallai FC to Take Part in the Zomi Namni Football Tournament 2026

KHALLAI Football Club has officially announced its return to competitive football. The club, which proudly represents the Thangkhal community, is ready to step back onto the field.

Khallai FC confirmed that it will participate in the 78th Zomi Namni Football Tournament 2026. The club stated that the time has come for everyone to work together in unity.

The name Khallai comes from two words: “Khal”, meaning Thangkhal, and “Lai”, meaning “we are still Thangkhal”. The club was formed by a group of young football lovers with a strong passion for the game.

The motto of Khallai FC is “Lungkhat”, which means “One Mind, One Body, One Spirit.” This motto reflects the club’s belief in unity, discipline, and teamwork.

Khallai FC has recorded several achievements over the years. The team became champions of the Singngat Independence Day Football Tournament in 2019. In the same year, the club was awarded Best Discipline Team at the 1st Pi Niangzen Trophy.

The club launched its official jersey in November 2018, inspired by the jersey numbers used by the Argentina national team during the World Cup. Earlier, in 2017, Khallai FC also competed in the District Level Second Division, organised by the Churachandpur District SportsAssociation (CDSA).

Khalvontawi News (Voice of the Voiceless) wishes Khallai FC the very best spirit for the tournament, believing that sportsmanship is the true key to success.
