TYO

The Thangkhal Youth Organisation (TYO) was officially formed on 26 November 1978 at the residence of Pu Awnchinkhup in T. Khazang village. During this gathering, the Thangkhals elected Nengkhankap from M. Tanglian as the President and Pu S. Chinkhanpau from S. Beelbing as the Secretary. Following their appointment, the executive members were inducted, thus formalising the establishment of the organisation. The formation of TYO was instrumental in bringing together the dispersed Thangkhal people, fostering a sense of solidarity and collective identity.
