This historic milestone marks the first time an Indian film has secured this prestigious honour, bringing immense pride not only to Manipuri cinema but to the entire Thadou tribe and the Northeast region. Gugun Kipgen's outstanding performance as the young Boong has captivated global audiences and showcased the talent, resilience, and rich cultural storytelling from our community.
