As the Holi festival approaches, we remain deeply concerned about the safety of the Northeast community residing across Delhi NCR, including Gurgaon, Noida, and Faridabad. In previous years, our community --- and specifically our women --- has frequently been targeted under the guise of celebration, leading to instances of harassment and physical insecurity. We earnestly urge the concerned police stations to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure a strong ground presence in areas with high migrant populations. Ensuring a safe environment is essential so that everyone can live without fear of targeted targeting during the festivities.
