Kangpokpi, May 20, 2026: The second day of the “Sabse Door, Sabse Paas” Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign for Kangpokpi district officially began today in Saitu-Gamphazol and Kangpokpi Sub-Divisions, covering separate camps in both areas.
The IEC Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan is an awareness and outreach initiative focused mainly on tribal and remote areas. The programme aims to spread awareness about Government welfare schemes and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive services through camps and grassroots outreach activities.
The campaign includes awareness programmes on Government schemes, village meetings, health screening camps, entitlement drives, Jan Sunwai grievance redressal sessions, and village-level interactions conducted by officials and volunteers.
The awareness drive in Kangpokpi and Saitu Sub-Divisions is being supervised by ADM Shri Lamminlal Simte, MCS, and Shri Paotinsei Kipgen, MCS, respectively. The Saitu block is conducting one camp covering eight villages, while Kangpokpi block is organising two camps covering nine villages.
During today’s programme, officials assisted villagers by explaining eligibility criteria and application procedures for various schemes, helping beneficiaries fill forms and update documents, conducting health screenings, and addressing grievances through Jan Sunwai sessions. Information materials were also distributed, and awareness discussions were held at the village level to connect remote communities with Government services.
Several line departments, including Horticulture, Fishery, RD & PR, Health, Agriculture, and CAF & PD, among others, participated in the campaign by setting up service camps.
The campaign covers 25 policy interventions under 17 Central Ministries through the PM DASGVA framework, along with 11 additional interventions from nine ministries dedicated to the PM JANMAN scheme.
