Lamka, May 12, 2026: In a disturbing incident reported from Muolnoi village, innocent Kuki women and children were seen crying and screaming in terror as houses in the village were allegedly set on fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and chaos as flames spread across the village. One terrified woman was heard shouting, “They {suspected Naga militants} have started burning Muolnoi!” while families rushed for safety amid the blaze.
According to a local Kuki resident, Muolnoi village was set on fire at around 2:30 PM. The incident reportedly forced villagers to flee as smoke and flames engulfed parts of the area.
The latest incident has further heightened tension in the region, which has witnessed prolonged ethnic violence and displacement since May 2023.
