Tengnoupal, June 16, 2026: The Kuki Chiefs' Association (KCA), Tengnoupal District, has strongly condemned the recent attacks on civilians in Kultuh Village, Kamjong District, and Leilon-Munlui Village between Leilon Vaiphei and Konsakhul.
In a statement issued on June 16, the association described the incidents as heinous and inhumane. The attack on Kultuh Village on June 11 reportedly resulted in the deaths of a church pastor and a youth leader, while several homes and community properties were damaged.
The association also expressed concern over another violent incident that occurred around 6:00 a.m. on June 15 in Munlui Village, where three civilians were injured.
KCA extended condolences to the families of the victims and called on the Government of India, the Manipur Government, and security agencies to conduct an immediate investigation, bring the perpetrators to justice, strengthen security in vulnerable areas, and ensure the protection of civilians regardless of community or ethnicity.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace, justice, and human life, the association urged all parties to exercise restraint and reject violence.
