Lamka, June 234, 2026: On 24 June 2026, security forces recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and communication equipment from the general area of Kotlen in Kangpokpi district, Manipur.
The recovered items included one 5.56 mm calibre rifle, eight single-barrel rifles, four improvised mortars, one under-barrel grenade launcher (UBG), and five lathods. Security personnel also seized 236 live rounds of ammunition of various calibres, two magazines, and one Baofeng handset with a charger.
The recovery was made during security operations conducted in the area. Further investigation is underway.
