On 5th July, 2026, a Kuki village named Thingkhojang in Kangpokpi District, Manipur, was attacked by NSCN-IM and ZUF (Kamson). The greatest blame, however, should be on CRPF (F Coy 86Bn) personnel who were stationed at the village as they quietly watched the village getting burned. They neither fired a bullet nor did they try to thwart the Nagas.
The question now is whether the CRPF should waste Indian taxpayers' money to spend so much resources to station in Manipur when they are so useless in preventing what they have been called to do. The fact that Kuki Village Volunteers were hounded day and night and not even allowed to station in the village to protect their own village raises serious suspicion if they are complicit in the attack.
In Manipur, it is not a new thing for security forces to take money, women, etc., to take sides. It's time the MHA takes serious note, as it gives a very bad impression on Indian security apparatus in an already fragile border state.
It is time the Central 'Retired' Police Force are sent back to election duties somewhere in mainland India, as that suits these pot-bellied oldies better!
