Lamka, 3 July 2026: The Zomi Council has announced that the mortal remains of former Manipur MLA Salpha Pu Vungzagin Valte, who represented Thanlon Assembly Constituency, will begin their final journey on Saturday, 4 July 2026. He will be laid to rest at the YPA Cemetery in Dorcas Veng, New Lamka.
According to a press statement issued by Mary Jones Vung, Secretary, Information and Publicity, Zomi Council Headquarters, Lamka on Friday, the funeral service will be held at his residence in Dorcas Veng, where family members, relatives, friends and members of the public will have an opportunity to pay their final respects and offer condolences to the bereaved family.
The Zomi Council has invited family members, relatives, friends, well-wishers, church leaders, community leaders and representatives of various organisations to attend the funeral service and honour the life and legacy of the late leader.
