Anti-Illicit Liquor Drive Destroys 2,000 Litres in Singngat

Lamka, August 13, 2026: District Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), under the command of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Singngat, conducted an anti-illicit distilled liquor drive at T. Khajang village and adjoining areas on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The operation was carried out from 12 noon to 2 pm under the jurisdiction of Singngat Police Station.

During the drive, security personnel destroyed approximately 2,000 litres of DIC (distilled illicit country) liquor at the spot.

The operation also led to the recovery of 14 large-sized pots, five medium-sized pots, 24 small drums, two boxes of dry yeast and 30 litres of DIC liquor.

The seized liquor was destroyed in situ in the presence of witnesses, while the equipment used in the illicit liquor-making process was also destroyed.

The operation was recorded under GD No. 17/SGT-PS/2026, dated August 13, 2026.
