LUNGLEI, August 27, 2026: The Lunglei District Victim of Crime Compensation Committee has approved ₹6 lakh in crime compensation for the family of 15-year-old H. Lalramdinpuii of Mualแนญhuam North, Lunglei district, Mizoram.
The committee held a meeting on August 26 to consider compensation for victims and their families. Lalramdinpuii went missing on the night of August 3, 2026, and her body was later recovered.
Apart from Lalramdinpuii’s family, the committee also approved compensation for six other victims of crime.
The compensation is intended to provide financial assistance to those affected by criminal incidents and their families.
