Manipur Forces Recover 1,422 Arms, 7,010 Rounds

IMPHAL, August 12, 2026: A display of arms, ammunition and explosives recovered by the security forces and law-enforcement agencies in Manipur from 5^th February 2026 to 11^th August 2026 was held at 1 MR Parade Ground, Imphal, on 12 August 2026.

The display was intended to highlight the sustained efforts of the security forces and law-enforcement agencies towards restoring peace and security in the State and to demonstrate the scale of recovery of arms and ammunitions during the period.

The recovered items comprise:

1.    1,422 arms

2.    7,010 rounds of ammunition

3.    1,137 explosives

The recoveries comprise weapons, ammunition and explosives seized/recovered during various operations, searches and security-related activities conducted by the security forces and law-enforcement agencies across the State.

It reflects the sustained and coordinated efforts of the security forces and law-enforcement agencies to curb illegal arms, prevent violence and strengthen the security environment in the State.
