Imphal, August 14, 2026: Manipur Police has congratulated six of its officers and personnel who have been conferred the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.
Shri Lokhendro Singh Arambam, Armed Police Sub Inspector, Manipur, has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM).
Five other Manipur Police personnel have been conferred the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM). They are Shri Ningshen Worngam, Inspector General; Smt. Sarma Devi Khoisnam, Commandant; Shri Wungpam Kasar, Commandant; Shri Leivon Lemboi Kom, Havildar; Shri Irungbam Shyamsunder Singh, Subedar; and Shri Birla Singh Soraisham, Subedar.
The police department said the prestigious awards recognise the awardees’ exemplary service, dedication and unwavering commitment to duty.
Manipur Police said their achievements have brought immense pride to the police family and serve as an inspiration to personnel across all ranks.
The department also extended its wishes to all the awardees for continued success in their service to the nation.
