ZSP Congratulates Dr T.D. Peter Lianlunthang on PhD

LAMKA, August 18, 2026: The Zou Sangnaupan Pawlpi (ZSP), the Zou Students’ Association, has congratulated Dr. T. D. Peter Lianlunthang on the successful conferment of his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree by Assam Don Bosco University.

Dr. Lianlunthang earned his doctorate for his seminal thesis, “Studies on the Impact of Non-Gravitational Forces on the Dynamics of D68 Ringlet of Saturn’s D Ring.” His research focuses on planetary dynamics and the complex forces influencing Saturn’s ring system.

In a congratulatory note issued on August 18, the ZSP General Headquarters described the achievement as a reflection of Dr. Lianlunthang’s dedication, intellectual rigour and pioneering contribution to the field of planetary science.

The students’ association also expressed appreciation for the mentorship of Prof. Monmoyuri Baruah, whose guidance, it said, played an instrumental role in the successful completion of the scholarly work.

The ZSP said the achievement brings immense pride to Dr. Lianlunthang’s family, peers and the wider community. It also noted that his accomplishment honours the memory of the late Barnabas Langchinkhup and Martha Mankhonian of Sugnu Zoveng, Chandel District, Manipur.

The association conveyed its best wishes for Dr. Lianlunthang’s future scholarly and professional endeavours.
