CENTCOM Warns Iran Its Oil Fleet Is Next After U.S. Strikes Three IRGC-Linked Tankers

THE U.S. military has delivered one of its starkest warnings yet to Tehran after the IRGC launched ballistic missiles toward a U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer. Both warships evaded the attacks and no American personnel were harmed.

CENTCOM retaliated by permanently disabling the Iranian oil tankers M/T Downy near Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask, while completely destroying the unladen M/T Kylo, also known as Noxen, in the Gulf of Oman after its crew was ordered to abandon ship. CENTCOM says all three belonged to a multibillion-dollar shadow network financing the IRGC and its regional terror proxies.

CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper made the new American policy unmistakable: attack two U.S. ships, lose three Iranian vessels. He warned that Washington is prepared, if necessary, to “destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.” The strike near Kharg is particularly significant: before the war, roughly 90% of Iran’s crude exports moved through the island.

Iran later claimed it retaliated against additional tankers and U.S.-linked vessels, though those claims were not immediately independently confirmed. [JBN]
