NEW DELHI — Nine Naga legislators, including Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Shri Losii Dikho, have submitted a formal representation to Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah requesting urgent central intervention to address the worsening security situation in Manipur. Expressing grave concern over the current crisis, the signatories warned that failure to take unbiased, decisive action could plunge the state into uncontrollable chaos.
Demands Submitted by the Naga Legislators:
Immediate arrest of Kuki-Zo leaders, who have publicly claimed responsibility for the killing and dismemberment of six innocent Naga citizens.
Immediate arrest of Shri Thangboi Kipgen (KNF-P), whose wife is the Hon'ble Dy. Chief Minister, Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, whose cadres, led by self-styled Gen 'Tiger' Kipgen are alleged to have perpetrated the killing and mutilation of the six innocent Naga citizens. As you may be aware, self-styled Gen 'Tiger' Kipgen is a psychopath whose modus operandi is chopping up innocent victims into pieces and secretly burying in different locations. Such evil man cannot be allowed to live within civilized society. He must be apprehended and punished as per law of the country.
Initiate action against Deputy CM Smt. Nemcha Kipgen as her office is colluding with the Kuki militant group led by her husband Shri Thangboi Kipgen (KNF-P), which have become very difficult for the people to comprehend the peace process taken by the government.
Immediate abrogation of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) Agreement, with all Kuki militant groups, in view of repeated violations and acts of terror against civilians.
When the mutilated bodies of the six Naga men are still unclaimed in protest against the non-arrest of the perpetrators, another four Naga men were mercilessly killed in the IT road ambush on the 27th August, carried out by the Kuki militants. Many more horrendous incidents have been committed by the Kuki militants in the recent past but no justice have been delivered till today; the ambush at TM Kasom on the NH-202 where two innocent lives were lost on the 18th April, 2026, Langka, a Naga village, was attacked and burnt down the whole village where two farmers were killed on 14th August, 2026.
