IMPHAL, AUG 27, 2020 -- Two persons died in an accident in National Highway-37 Imphal-Jiribam Road on August 23, 2020.
The deceased have been identified as the driver Mr Paominthang Haokip (34) s/o Lunkhojam Haokip of Phoilen, Near Valpakot and Mrs Kimjahat Vaiphei (47) w/o Thangtinlen of Tuibuong, Ccpur, Manipur.
Sources said the Bolero fell down from about 300 ft high. The ill feted accident occured between Kaimai and Barak River in Jiribam Road.
The accident came to be known when some people suspected the foul smell and found the damaged vehicle and the dead bodies.
Manipur Police and Nungba Youth Club evacuated the vehicle and took the corpses.
